James Twaddle is lead partner for Strategy& in Australia and is based in our Sydney office.

James works across services industries, with a focus on education, government, financial services, and not-for-profit entities. He typically works with clients on their strategy and then on how to transform their organisation to deliver on that strategy. Examples of projects James has led include driving an extensive transformation for a large university, reviewing wellbeing services provided to schools, developing a refining strategy for a oil refiner-distributor, developing a corporate partnership strategy for a large not-for-profit, reducing significantly the cost base for a large wealth manager, and developing strategic growth options for a large insurer.

Prior to joining Strategy&, James was a central bank economist working on monetary policy, financial stability, and financial system policy. He has a BCA(Hons) from Victoria University of Wellington and an MBA from London Business School.
