Girish has 25 years of consulting and industry experience across retail, consumer, industrials and energy. He has advised the board and top management of leading conglomerates on a range of issues from portfolio strategy, resource allocation, growth strategy, bidding and M&A, annual planning, governance structures to organisation transformation.
He has advised leading retail players in apparel, personal care and home decor, on growth strategies as well as turnaround transformation efforts, including leveraging e-commerce channels. In consumer industries, he has supported growth strategies, go-to-market and distribution expansion of consumer brands across durables, FMEG and lubricants.
He has advised leading Indian and global oil companies and independent oil and gas players in investment decisions for exploration strategies, asset development plans, portfolio management, integrated gas and LNG development, midstream pipeline decisions, downstream growth strategies, and acquisition of global assets. He has supported organisations across India, Southeast Asia, the US, Europe, Japan, China and Africa.
Girish has published articles in internationally reputed business journals as well as thought leadership articles in the Indian business press.
Girish has been an instructor for Stanford University courses on ‘Strategic decisions and risk management’.
Girish is an engineering graduate from Mumbai University and holds an MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad.
