“My team always made time to guide me to feel comfortable, even with new and challenging tasks, so that I could develop autonomy and add value to our project.”

“I think that as long as you show genuine interest and work hard, people at Strategy& will always be willing to support you, so that you can showcase the best version of yourself.”

Q: How was your summer internship at Strategy& Middle East?

A: My internship at Strategy& Middle East was a fully comprehensive experience. It exposed me to a variety of challenges in the region and to the firm’s working style. It also helped me strengthen my professional relationships, both with other interns and with other consultants, through immersive activities such as a hackathon, which was a three-day case competition where we got to crack a case and present our solution to the firm’s management team. Finally, the firm provided invaluable support on administrative matters related to housing and logistics, which enabled us to focus on the job.

Q: What type of support did you receive during your internship?

A: My team always made time to guide me to feel comfortable, even with new and challenging tasks, so that I could develop autonomy and add value to our project. I think that as long as you show genuine interest and work hard, people at Strategy& will always be willing to support you, so that you can showcase the best version of yourself.

Q: You joined Strategy& Middle East after working with Strategy& Argentina. How was the transition?

A: In 2021, I left Strategy& Argentina to pursue my MBA at IESE Business School, in order to broaden my professional horizons and explore opportunities in other countries. During the recruiting season, I connected really well with people from Strategy& Middle East and decided to apply. The recruiting process confirmed my connection to the firm and allowed me to better understand the type of projects I would work on. So when I got the offer, I didn’t think twice about accepting it!

Q: How would you describe the people and culture at the firm?

A: People at the Dubai office come from all over the world, and what connects everyone is the willingness to do a great job, while supporting and developing each other.

Q: What advice would you give to other interns who are looking to join the firm?

A: The recruiting season is the perfect time to understand what works for you. I’d recommend that you invest plenty of time in talking to consultants to really understand if the kind of work they do is right for you. In my case, during the recruiting process, I found that people were really honest about life at Strategy&. I could tell they wanted to help me make the right decision, one that would make me happy. Then, once inside the firm, your internship lets you validate if this is the right place for you to come back for a full-time role!

Q: What was one of your most memorable experiences during your internship?

A: One night, we got together with almost 50 other interns and spent a night out on a boat, with the Dubai skyline in the background. Being with so many other smart young people who want to work hard, and have a good time, was really memorable for me.
