Karim Abdallah is a Partner with Strategy& and a member of the firm’s Family Business, Investments, and Real Estate practice in the Middle East.

Karim has more than ten years of consulting experience as well as four years of industry experience acquired through various engagements in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. He leads the real estate platform in Middle East, focusing on real estate developers and corporations with significant real estate portfolios, offering support in strategy setting, organization design and restructuring, business planning, and feasibility studies for mega projects.

Some of Karim’s recent client assignments include:

Supporting a major telecom operator in launching its real estate development arm to manage and develop the corporation’s large portfolio of real estate properties
Restructuring the largest mall developer and operator in the region in anticipation of an upcoming IPO
Supporting a leading real estate developer in developing the concept and feasibility study of a new downtown for a GCC country capital
Leading a business-model and five-year strategy development project for a listed real estate developer

In addition to his client work, Karim has authored multiple reports: "Managing the $1 trillion wave of GCC real estate megaprojects: The institutional setup", "Unearthing value from dormant land in the GCC: Five approaches for governments and private owners", "Riding the real estate cycle: Building capabilities for a sustainable future” and “Beyond affordability: Public housing and community development in the GCC.”

Karim holds an MBA with distinction from Cornell University, a master’s degree in construction management from the Pennsylvania State University, and a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the American University of Beirut.
