Partner, Strategy& Middle East
Patxi Gil is a partner in the financial services practice at Strategy& in the Middle East. Previously, he led the financial services innovation strategy practice at the Mexican retail group Coppel.
Patxi has more than 20 years of consulting experience. He focuses on digital and analytics, retail and business banking, payments, and operational transformation.
He spent the majority of his career at Oliver Wyman, first working in Madrid, and then moving to London and Mexico City as a partner. He led the Mexico City office for five years, scaling up the local team and the regional financial services practice. After that, he followed his entrepreneurial spirit to a fintech startup, Clip, where he pioneered new financial inclusion solutions as a vice president in financial services and corporate development.
Patxi holds a master’s degree in mechanical and industrial engineering from the University of Navarra, as well as an MBA from the University of Mondragon, Spain.
