Fatima is the behavioral science lead of the Ideation Center at Strategy&. She has more than 12 years of experience with international organisations, focusing on development and public sector projects in the MENA region.
In her current role, Fatima has been working on growing the behavioral science function at the center. She leads a variety of projects related to the application of behavioral insights through evidence-based approaches, and she developed a proprietary framework that enables other consultants at Strategy& to apply behavioral insights to more programs and projects. She is also a well-respected thought leader in the field, with expertise in behavioral science as it relates to consumerism and financial literacy as well as national identity.
Among the first behavioral scientists in the MENA region, she led and took part in the establishment of different behavioral insights units and worked on the design and implementation of a number of behavioral experiments and interventions.
Prior to joining the firm, Fatima worked as a behavioral scientist at the World Bank, as a project manager at the United Nations Development Programme in Kuwait, and as an administrator at the International Monetary Fund. She has significant experience drawing behavioral insights, running statistical analyses, gathering quantitative data, designing journey maps, and writing research reports. In addition, she has led workshops in several countries on behavioral diagnostics and the design of behavioral experiments and interventions.
Fatima holds a PhD in behavioral science at the London School of Economics (LSE). She also holds a master’s degree in behavioral science from LSE and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the American University of Beirut (AUB).
