Tourism represents a significant long-term economic opportunity for the GCC countries and Egypt. To develop the sector, governments need a five-stage journey that: defines the national tourism vision, introduces effective governance structures, identifies and segments target travelers, prepares the destination, and then uses marketing and promotion campaigns to turn interest into bookings. The journey must take advantage of digital technologies and should be regularly reviewed and renewed.
