Tala Nsouli promotes a new app for apartment rentals in Dubai

Tala Nsouli, general manager of the Dubai startup Urban, was featured on DubaiTV in early February to promote the recently launched online platform and app. Urban promises to make life easier for both landlord and renter, as it addresses numerous pain points in the traditional analog apartment rental process. Strategy& alumna Tala touted Urban’s convenience and flexibility through various mediums.

“We’re making renting easy, honest, and empowering by bringing the entire rental journey online,” she notes in a post on her LinkedIn page. The platform allows renters to pay rent online, eliminating the need for checks. In its initial phase, Urban features more than 200 homes in several Dubai neighborhoods, with more expected to come online soon. The listings are guaranteed inspected, and can be viewed online. Smart locks make it possible for tenants to inspect properties without having to coordinate with a real estate agent.

Since leaving Strategy& in 2012, Tala has held several positions, including senior product manager at the Amazon Development Centre in London and expert associate partner for digital at McKinsey & Company in Dubai. She joined Urban in 2019.
