Karim Daoud is a Partner with Strategy& and a member of the firm’s Telecommunications, Media, and Technology practice in the Middle East.

He has more than 20 years of consulting and P&L management experience in the digital, media, and publishing industries across the Middle East.

Karim’s main areas of expertise include vision and strategy formulation, strategic planning, digital transformation, post-merger integration, partnership and JV development, public–private partnerships, institution building, change management, and new business/product development.

He first joined Strategy& in 1999 as an associate in the Telecom practice where he led several telecom and public-sector engagements. After almost five years with the firm, Karim made the jump to industry where he accumulated extensive experience in the media, education, and digital publishing sectors in the Middle East.

He has spent the past decade building high-growth ventures: He set up Intigral, a triple-play platform that delivers unique content experiences (on web, mobile, and TV); and for Pearson’s, a global leader in education content publishing, he helped accelerate its regional shift to digital education services. In his last role before returning to Strategy&, he managed the post-merger integration of Webedia Arabia, a digital entertainment platform targeting Arab digital audiences on web and social media in the areas of comedy, lifestyle, and gaming/eSports.

In addition to his client work, Karim has co-authored the report, “Saudi Arabia’s dynamic television and video market” and article “The path to growth for Middle East media in a post-pandemic world.”

Karim holds an MBA from INSEAD and an engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris.
