Dr. Jens Neumann

Dr. Jens Neumann is a Partner at Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting business. He heads the Pharma and Life Sciences Operations strategy platform across Europe and serves as the Strategy& office head in Düsseldorf. Jens is a leading practitioner in operations and supply chain strategy, with extensive experience in various industries including pharma and life sciences, biologics, cell and gene therapies, consumer health, chemicals, as well as energy, resources, and utilities.

Jens has a strong background in managing holistic transformation of international manufacturing companies. His expertise includes CDMO ecosystem strategies, manufacturing and supplier network strategies and transformations, supplier optimization, benchmarking, site level improvements and lighthouses, personalized manufacturing and organizational design.

With a combined industry and consulting experience of more than 20 years, Jens has previously worked as Principal at Management Engineers and Booz & Company. Before joining our firm, he held leadership positions in production and automation technology at BASF.

He holds a PhD in Process Engineering from Imperial College London and has studied at Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh and RWTH Aachen, where he earned his diploma in Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering with distinction.
